Working With Managed Forestry
We buy roundwood from Portuguese forest owners and local suppliers operating under managed forestry practices, prioritising replanting and responsible harvesting cycles rather than one-off clearance. Species like maritime pine and eucalyptus, which dominate our timber and biomass lines, are widely grown under active management in northern Portugal.
From Log Yard to Product
Once roundwood arrives at our Rebordosa yard, it's graded by intended use: sawlog-quality material goes to timber processing, lower-grade roundwood becomes firewood, chips or pellet feedstock, and offcuts and residues are recovered rather than discarded wherever possible.
Traceability and Certification
For buyers whose markets require it, we can arrange FSC or PEFC chain-of-custody documentation on eligible volumes. Even where formal certification isn't required, we can confirm species and regional origin for every order.
